Cant change Gamertag for free (first time change)

Hi guys,

i've never changed my Gamertag, so it still is .

The support site for changing Gamertag says that the first change of the Gamertag is free. However my Xbox One still wants to charge me with 9,99€ instead of free. Is there a Problem with my Microsoft Account?

Changing Gamertag

The First time you Change your Gamertag you get to do it once for free, After that Change on Xbox.com you will have to do it from the Xbox Live dashboard, Im sorry but you cant change your name if you do not Own a Xbox Console.

the only way to change your gamertag is to change it for free if its the first time you are changing your gamertag or to buy a gamertag change for 800 Microsoft points which is $10

 

The free gamertag change is only available if you were given a randomly generated tag when you signed up and are changing that tag. Since you have a tag you chose, you will have to pay to change your tag.

 

Ah, forgot to tell you. I did not choose this Gamertag. This is a random generated Gamertag.

Any german speaking could tell you that this nickname must be random generated because its nonsense.

 

Nope a randomly generated name would be a emotion with a cute furry creature and a number

You pickimg a suggested name doesnt mean its randomly generated

 

And nakes like that wpuld be in english as the generator uses that

 

Well... Shiet. Then I will probably stick with this one as I find it horrible to pay about 10€ to change a name.
