Can't change Gamertag as well

Sorry for bothering, but i created an account after installing windows 10 and had the opportunity to create an Gamertag. i never had an xbox account so i tried one that i usualy take on other gaming plattforms, it was listed as available but when i hit the
button claim Gamertag, i was given some random generated one with the info that i have been given an automated one but could change it in the settings if i want to. so i tried the same but nothing happened. this was on the windows 10 app paint 3D. Somehow
i changed to the Microsoft web Page and from there to the xbox account web page, tried again but here the gamer tag "alterra 420" i was hoping for was already in use. so i tried to change it into "alterra ft" it said this one is not used yet so i hit the button
"claim gamertag" again, with the result that my previous random sorted gamertag changed to another random sorted gamertag. this time its . Not quite the result i hoped for, so i tiped in "alterra ft" again checked it with the result that it is
not in use even if i claimed it so i tried to hit the button "claim gaimertag" another time ... whell nothing happened, exept that i raged a bit and hit hit the button claim vigurously severel times fast until suddenly an red text apeared that said some failure
occured and i should try again later. Does someone have any suggestions to fix my issue. Exept to buy a purchase, cause i didn't eve had the Gamertag i tried to create.

Changing player tag in game Minecraft for Windows 10.

Hi! While I personally don't play Minecraft and therefore can't tell for sure, most games simply use your gamertag. If that's the case for Minecraft as well, you would have to change your gamertag in order to change your ingame name.

LOL... and I came in here looking for info on how to remove and re-install.... glad I'm not the only one.... and annoyed as hell as I have maintained an almost perfect score for the past 4 years or so.... looks like it ain't gonna happen this month......

first and foremost you really need to review the terms of use

As the first name would've ended very very badly for you

Second it doesn't matter if you search for a name

If.the system says it's not available it's not available it's how you are spelling it that's is the issue

You must be unique so you can try be more creative but I can tell you if you use any of the first variation without removing the offence you will end up with a forced change

Drug references aren't allowed period

It's not.randomize name bit a suggestion you are free to choose from that list or continue to be creative

Randomize. Name is one you are given instantly without your input

i've readed the terms of use now and hopefully understood them, to be shure, you meant the terms of the forum right?

And which name do you mean, the one with the large number, and can you tell why, (is it a problem with the number or the word i used)?

The other thing is, despite the fact that (if i understood right the first name) would have ended badly, like i sayd, the system claimed it at first to be available but when i changed from trying in the "paint 3d" app to the web page it suddenly wasn't anymore.
The system says the one with the "ft" is available so can i use it or is there anyhow an offence in it? and since the system already seams to have given me two forced changes, do you think i will even be able to change it another time?

ah sorry so not randomized but forced, anyway may i be able to change it? would be nice to know what parts i need to change and/or be more creative about to get it work and not have another one forced upon me ^^

If the system charged you for the GT change and the tag did not change you can contact official billing support and they should be able to refund you. Then you should be able to try the purchase again as the GT "alterra
ft" still seems to be available.
