    Can't change gamerpic despite my account being adult


    My account is an adult account, however when I go to change my gamerpic on the xbox one or xbox app on PC, I get a message saying I need to be older. Is there anyway I can change this.

    My Xbox account age is 26, but it's treated like a child account

    My account can't work without being linked to a Microsoft family, as in I can't play any games or do anything on my Xbox One, and I can't join Xbox Insider nor change my gamerpic to a custom one. It claims it's only for adult accounts, and I've contacted
    Microsoft twice about this to no avail. I'm not sure what to do.

    Problem with Custom Gamerpic

    I don’t know hop to find another way to change the category and the topic but this is my problem:

    I want to change my gamerpic and I have an adult account and my birthday date are correct (1979) and it says the custom gamerpic are only available for adult account. I have try a lot of tricks and it always says you must older or custom gamerpic is only
    available for adults account

    I hope someone found the solution of my problem

    Hey there Harrison,

    In regards to the Custom Gamerpic, your account would need to be an adult account, not just set to adult defaults under your Privacy and online safety.

    As stated in the support article for
    Changing your Xbox One gamerpic    , Custom images are only available for adult Microsoft accounts. So if your account has a child DOB on it you won't be allowed to change it until the account is graduated to an adult account.

    My account says I'm a child but the parent account says I'm a adult and I can't change it.

    You need to be an adult to have custom gamerpics
    No it's not it just won't let me see my settings and play online on certain games. And I can't change the account to an adult.

    Hello! avatars can't be made from scratch. About gamerpics, you'll need an adult account to change it since there's no other way.
