Cant change dlanguage from (?) Chinese

Hi,

I tried to setup my 10 year old daughter's xbox yesterday and it immediately went to Chinese or a similar language setting to guide through process of setup. I managed to download the programme to 100% but cant do anything else as all the screen options
are in this foreign language and I cant get back to settings to change it as I cant read the language.

Can anyone help guide me through this??

Language issue with XBOX360 game

I have bought final fantasy XIII Lightning return from xbox.com. The game showed that it supports japanese, korea and chinese. My console is set as HKSAR with Chinese, however, it does not display Chinese after auto download, it just displays japanese!!!
There is no options for language change within game. After changing console language to English in United States, it still does not help!!!

So can anyone help to change back to Chinese or English?

if this is happening on a Xbox One console then you can either search for videos that show you how to change the Language (and region?) for the console. See this video made by a fellow Xbox user for an example:


it will start showing a game, but that is only the intro after which they show the steps on how to change the language

If that fails then you can try to Factory reset the console via these steps, but this still requires you to select the correct option from the menu to factory reset the console:

• Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
  
• Wait 30 seconds.
• Plug the power cord back in.
• Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for
  two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. Note If you don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any “power-down” chirps, that also means this failed. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the
  second power-up tone.

This should show a menu with the option to factory reset the console, if it does not please try the steps again

Side note: I'm not sure if this is the case, but if you are in China then this might be a region requirement, but that is just a guess on my end
