Can't change country while redeeming xbox game pass code?

So recently i bought a code for Xbox Game Pass but when i try and redeem it it says "This code can't be redeemed. It was purchased in a different region from your account." Please help.

No you can't purchase subs with credits from your account. You can buy a code for Game Pass but you need a payment method like credit card or PayPal - depending on the country you live in to redeem the code.

You can turn off recurring billing after you have redeemed the Game Pass code if you don't want that.

It will probably be a code that you have to redeem. Did you check in all of your paperwork and inserts that came in the Xbox One S box to look for a redeem code? You'll have to redeem the 2 week free trail yourself for the Game Pass to activate, if it
is available in your country.
