    Can't capture ingame chat in games


    Hello.

    I got this issue where i can't record ingame voice chat.

    I play call of duty and now and then there happends something funny

    I can record this just fine by the ingame dvr. It will capture everything except onther peoples voice.

    My friends are pc and ps4 players so setting up a party won't work most of the time

    I hope there is a way to get this fixed.

    Currently the Xbox Game DVR app does not support recording party chat.

    You will have to use external hardware and software to capture party chat and ingame sound/video, like an ElGato.

    Hi InFi,

    as far as i know, this is either only capable over a game capture card. or potentially with some work around streaming over the companion app.

    On a capture card you just share party chat audio to Speakers and Headphones, that should have a similar effect on ingame chat.

    It will only record in-game chat if you set sound output to BOTH the connected headset and TV speakers (Xbox Guide>Preferences>Voice) and are using an audio connection that also passes through the Avermedia capture device. For example, HDMI from the Xbox
    360 to your capture device will capture voice with it set to BOTH since HDMI carries audio and video. Red and White RCA cables to the capture device will also capture ingame chat.

    So basically, if you do not want this, only choose output to Headset. Not TV speakers or Both.

    ok. I have found .......AVerMedia Game Capture HD (C281)-Record Xbox 360 that does not need a computer while recording. Does anyone konw if this will also record the ingame chat between me and my friends. Thanks

    How to talk through xbox party and not gamechat

    Hello there!

    Is there no option on Halo 3 settings to turn off in game chat?
    If not, you can perhaps mute the ingame lobby.

    But i'm sure there's an option somewhere like when you join a game, there's a turn off ingame chat,

    I just can't remember where when I had the same issue.
