Can't cancel Gold membership.

Ok, so I got this issue. I once signed up for the first free month of gold membership, but then, I don't want to pay for the other months (just wanted to try out), but I can't cancel anything. When I try to access the page, it's linking me to an
OLD email I made when I was around 13 (I'm 19 now) and I don't remember the password. So I try recovring it, but microsoft said I didn't have enough infos. So now I'm stuck. I will soon be obliged
to pay something I don't even use. I tried contacting the xBox Staff, but system was in maintenance or something. Any ideas? Please help me!

How to turn off auto renewal

It is recommended that you cancel your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership using the option of turning off automatic renewal. If auto renewal is "off", your membership will expire at the end of its current term.

Steps to follow:

1) If you are not already signed in, click Sign In at the upper right hand corner and sign in using your Microsoft account.

2) Proceed to My Account.

3) Click Change next to automatic renewal. Change the setting to OFF

You will be able to continue enjoying all the benefits of Xbox LIVE Gold Membership until your paid membership time expires.

Note:

If you want to cancel or disable your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership immediately, you should contact Xbox support. Use the Request a Call from Support option on the official Xbox Contact Us page. Your account cannot be canceled through chat or email.

If you disable your account immediately, you will lose the time remaining on your membership subscription.

If you are on a 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract, and you want to cancel before the end of the 2 years, you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and other applicable taxes. Once the two-year agreement period is over, your account will not be renewed automatically.

You can cancel the 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract using the option of self-cancel your subscription on Xbox.com

You can't cancel a free membership since it's not something you pay for. You can only cancel a gold subscription.

you can also contact Xbox Support, they will be able to turn the auto renewall off for you.

I do advise to try and reset the password etc and get access to your account to prevent any issues in the futures. See this link for some additional steps to try:

That's exactly what I tried.

But the issue with my email, is that it's not the same as the one I use to log me into xBox's website. I don't know why, but microsoft says I need to proove it's mine by contacting the one I put as a referral email. But I don't have access to that one. It's
kind of hard to explain it, but I need the password of my old email, not the one I'm using right now. I do not have enough information for them to let me reset my password. Am I ***?

 

Ok, you could try to remove all security proofs via the steps here:
support.xbox.com/.../remove-security-proof

Be aware that this will take at least 30 days, so in order to turn the auto renewall off 'quickly' you need to contact Xbox Support and explain the situation, they should turn it off for you.
