Can't cancel broken installation

Recently bought a new game which I installed into my Xbox one. It required an update but I avoided it by turning my Xbox offline as it was taking an extremely unreasonable amount of time to install only doing around 3 megabytes a second for a large update.
Later on when I turned my Xbox back online I was forced to finally do the update but in my haste to cancel it I didn't realise that doing so would uninstall the game. Now a few months later when I've tried to install the game I still have the same update problem
but now as well my game is constantly said to be installing even though it is making no progress, this is with the game disk not in my Xbox as well. I can't cancel the installation, continue it or uninstall the game either. Can some please help? The update
can also not be continued.

24+ hour installation

If it is from a disk, I would disconnect from internet. cancel installation and do the disk installation first

Just Cause 3 DLC installation troubleshooting

I was installing the sky fortress expansion pack on my Xbox One S when I accidentally pressed cancel installation and now I can't find my expansion pack anywhere, have I lost it forever?

Fully remove the game. Saved data and all.

Power cycle the console by holding down the power button for 10 seconds.

Restart the console and reinstall the game.

When you install Game Pass, all eligible titles are flagged as game pass, sometimes when you cancel game pass, these flags are not removed properly.

tried to login into my Microsoft ac to cancel FS2020 but can't login.

reason for cancellation. I always get error when I click install, tried for many days without success.

I feel like remote installing games from xbox.com via web browser is currently broken.

Its been broken for me too, for a while. And not just me, same goes to my friend.

Unless someone can confirm that they can still install games from xbox.com thru a web browser on a pc, I think it's broken.

I don't know if remote installing thru xbox app on smartphone still works, can't test that personally. Might try to borrow a smartphone and try that soon, will see.

If it is not installing correctly from your disc, the disc is definitely broken. remove the current install and try reinstall with the same disc.

If it can't finish the instal, the disc is damaged and won't work.

Instaling doesn't include all files and it still relies on the game disc to some degree.
