can't cancel a payment option

I've got my xbox360 which has no subscription or payment method which I only use to manage my daughters child account . The subscription to pay her live is done via a debit card attached to her child account, which was how the system seem to force me to
set it up when we first bought the Xbox at Christmas.

I want to cancel her automatic subscription/payment method so when she uses it we just purchase via a gift card. I log into her account and go to payment options but it won't let me cancel or remove the payment option as it's not an adult account (it let
me add the damn thing!). I would like to remove the current payment method but don't seem to be able to.

It should ask be noted while you are waiting for the code you can't cancel the membership

This included removing the payment option and getting a prepaid code form support

The payment option must remain on file till after you receive the code

You can't remove a payment option if it's attached to an active gold membership. If you want it removed immediately you would have to call support and have them cancel your subscription.

 

You can't remove the payment option while her account is Gold. You would have to wait until she has reverted back to a Silver account.

However, you could try contacting phone support to see if they would be able to remove it for you. They can also cancel the renewal while you are on the phone with them.
