    Can't buy Xbox Live without credit card.


    When trying to buy Xbox Live through Xbox one and Xbox.com , it Tells me to add a credit card, but I have more than enough money and I was able to buy it last year without a credit card and pre-pay cards. Today I bought enough Xbox gift cards to get Gold.

    You can't buy xbox live with your account money.

    You need a xbox live subscription card,a credit/debit card or paypal account to buy xbox live.

    Gold can only be purchased via credit card/Paypal or by purchasing a prepaid gold card. It's never been possible to purchase gold using currency from your account.

    As far as i know you can't use points/currency cards to buy xbox live gold,you have to use a credit/debit card,paypal or a xbox live subscription card.

    Do you mean you bought credit ?

    If so the credit in your wallet can't be used to buy xbox live gold,you need to buy an actual subscription,either via credit/debit card or paypal or by buying a gold subsctiption card from a shop or online retailer.
