cant buy the taken king on xbox 360

i am trying to buy the taken king expansion for destiny for a relative. but when i enter the game and try to purchase it i keep getting error code 80153003. ive already tried clearing cache and canceling downloads. i do not see why it is not allowing me
to purchase it the money is already on the xbox account.

Do I need to re-buy DLC or arcade games which are on both the XBox One and the XBox 360?

For instance, if I bought Destiny: The Taken King on Xbox 360, do I also need to buy the Taken King DLC for Xbox One if I eventually purchase one and have Destiny?

Also: I have Peggle 2 on the Xbox 360, do I need to buy THAT again for One?

Destiny The Taken King for 360

I cant seem to pre-order the taken king for 360. It keeps coming up xbox one instead of 360. I only need the taken king I have the first two updates already.

 

The Taken King is only available as a standalone purchase if the account in question has already purchased the first 2 DLC packages. Additionally, as of right now, The Taken King can only be played by the purchasing account on Xbox 360 consoles and cannot
be shared among accounts, even on the same console, unless the purchasing account is also signed in.

 

sorry should of mentioned he has the 2 dlcs and we are trying to purchase it on his xbox 360. it just does not work when i try to buy it.

It might be a licensing issue. Can you try redownloading the game and previous DLC?

First head to your download history (Settings>Accounts>Download History) and find if then select the items to add to your queue. With luck that may restore the licenses for you.

If that doesn't work you can try deleting your profile only (not profile and items) and then redownloading it.

As a final last ditch effort you may need to delete the game and dlc and redownload them to see if that works

 

I am having the same issue and I already did all of what onyx26is said above and that what was in the support thread for error code 80153003 including the following steps that onyx26is mentioned still no luck so it's obviously a server side download issue
cause when you go to purchase the game without purchasing the dlc button the dlc is already in active dowloads continuosly reinstalling itself without being purchased.

 

Thanks for the update Hart. It was a suggestion only with the hope that it would've worked.

The last suggestion in that link was to set up a repair of the console as that may also be the problem. However, as there seems to be no solution listed in that thread I would recommend contacting phone support to see what they say. If you live in North
