Can't Buy Red Dead Redemption - Getting an Error

Completely unacceptable still cannot purchase it

 

Still no answer on this eh? Be really nice to get that sale price wtf

 

MS needs to stop acting like this is an issue on the customers end. Fix your *** store so people can purchase the game they want too. Stop giving us BS answers, just fix it ffs

 

This whole thing is just a bit ridiculous. I just want to buy the game but days later I still can't. If it was down for pretty much the whole duration of the sale then what was the point of even having it on sale?

I've been trying to buy it and I can't gives me an error as well.

 

I've been trying to purchase RDR for 3 days now, I've been able to download the DLC, as well as purchase the Undead Nightmare Pack, as well as multiple other Xbox One games on sale, be it I get this error every time I try to buy RDR - "Sorry. Your purchase
cannot be completed at this time. Please try again." I've gotten this error on both the Xbox One and Xbox.com multiple times.

I HAVE A PAYMENT OPTION ON FILE, ONLY ONE AND ITS PROVEN TO WORK ON OTHER PURCHASES

All the many reasons as to why a person may not be able to buy something does not apply to me. I am in my own region, as well as the Live account purchased. The support is also in my region/country and I do have a working up to date credit card tied to the
account. Even though I have made purchases with out it in the past. I have plenty of money in my account for the purchase as well.

There is no error code that I get except "Sorry, unable to purchase at this time". On Xbox One, it simply just crashes the Store App. No reason given nothing.

 

Guys I had the exact same problem, I tried to buy it from my X1 nothing, 360 nothing, pc nothing. then I read this thread and I thought it maybe had something to do with location.

So I downloaded a vpn (I recommend TunnelBear) connected from it to a server in the US (I live in Venezuela) and then tried to buy it and it finally worked! I really hope this works for you too.

 

I think it's related to location too. I'm in Switzerland and when I try to purchase an Xbox One game, price is in swiss francs and when I try to buy an Xbox 360 game, price is in Euro... So maybe I'll try to use a VPN to be located in France. I'll keep you
in touch.

 

Just like WTFDAN9 did i used a vpn and connected to an American server (currently in South Korea) and it worked. Downloading as I type!

 

When is the error gonna be restored

 

Today I was able to purchase RDR, but other discounted games like Dead Space, Rayman Origins, X-Com Enemy Within, unable to purchase.

This has been the same error since Friday, 8th July

 

I had the same problem and also couldn't get Fallout 4 (error when tried to purchase). Contacted customer support and I've been told someone would contact me to fix this problem. Now the sale is off, so even if they manage to fix it, I won't be buying any
of these games until next time they're on sale. This is also my first time experience with purchasing anything for Xbox (just got it a few weeks ago) and I'm very disappointed. Steam is far superior to Xbox Store, not just because purchasing is simple, but
the user interface and UX are much better in my personal opinion.

Hope at least some of you were able to get Red Dead during the sale period.
