Cant buy live with microsoft $15 Credit

I bought a $15 xbox live credit today thinking I could just use it to buy a month of Live. Turns out it wont let me select it as a payment method. How do I do it?

I have just bought 15$ of microssoft money to buy 1 mounth membership since I don't have a credit card why wont it let me buy gold have I just wasted $15 on this bull crap?? I want gold I cant even use my free trail because I don't have a payment method
so I bought some Microsoft money and I cant even buy gold wth ??????

 

Cant update or remove payment option?

Okay so basically, I have used my dads credit card for a while to buy microsoft points, renew xbox live gold, but like a month ago, it just popped out with: cant authorize payment, change or update blablabla.. then when I want to update it, I saw that the
card ends at 10/15 even though its 10/12 so I update it all that, then when I press done it just says something with: blablbala cant be done.. so ive been trying to remove it, but cant do that, lalalala process cant be done.. now im just wondering how do I
fix it and use the credit card again? card has money on, used before on xbox live, cant remove nor update..... oh yeah Im from UK but live in Norway and if theres no other way to fix it other than calling support, whats the number?

If you look at the subscription purchase screen

You need to have autorenewal

Why in heavens name wouldnt you buy the correct card?

Prepaid membership cards = pay as you go membership

Cost of gas and time to get the card

No discounts or bonus dlc

Subscription = renewable membership requiring renewable payment option

Discounts and bonus dlc

No need to run to the store for a new card

Cancelable at anytime

As per the terms of use the subscription membership requires a renewable payment option

Its not rocket science

All online services don't allow prepaid currency as a subscription option

That's why they sell prepaid memberships

You get discounts and convince its one or the other

Why would they break a system that everyone else uses autobilling exsists for a reason

To buy subscriptions you need autorenewao to be on as per most online services that offer subscriptions
