can't buy games glitch

i go on the store on the CONSOLE, when I buy any xbox 360 game specifically I get a message "sorry, you can't make this transaction with this account on xbox.com please try again on your xbox." This only happens when I try and get a back compat game e.g
i tried getting borderlands (because of games with gold) and I get that error.

P.S. My account is an adult account...

edit: I've had my account for almost 6 years now and never had a problem like this

Hey, wolfster259! If you are getting this message, it's because your account is registered in the system as a Child Account. The only way around purchasing Games with Gold for Child Accounts is by making the purchase on an Xbox 360. Changing the settings
to make "unrestricted purchases" does not work for the 360 Marketplace, so you will be unable to make these purchases on the Xbox One or the Marketplace website. For more information, please check out our

Hi,my account has never been a child account on either the xbox0ne or the 360 and I get this message too.The support article states to D/L on the 360,once doing this will it be possible to then play on the X1.

It's not a glitch, that's just the way Microsoft has it set up. You will need to either create an adult account with Xbox live Gold or download the game on your Xbox 360.

Hey, wolfster259! Having an adult account has nothing to do with your settings on your account. It's what your birthday is set to on the account, and that cannot be changed. Once you hit 18 in most countries, the account is promoted to an adult account at
that point.

If you believe your account is an adult account based on birthday, then you will need to
call phone support to have them verify this for you. They can let you know if your account is registered as an adult account or if it is a child account. They cannot see the birthday
on your account, however.

I have a glitch with Blood on The Ice as well. You guys were lucky enough to have a glitch in the quest. Mine wont even start. I can't buy the house, I can't break into the house, the dead body won't show up... FML.

yeah they don't seem to respond... okay. i heard it has a similar problem to the first but with a character. if you get the character to glitch using a spell then you can't buy and can't complete the game.. (this happened with a gold brick in the first
meaning you had to start the game over)

They fix all this, but they can't just let us buy the Windhelm house after it's glitched (without starting a new character)?

Who are you tell someone to buy or not to buy a game? What are these 'modding glitches' you speak of? If it is the glitch on the map Outpost, well those have been fixed. Are you talking about the 'alleged' Stealth Bomber glitch? Just curious what is so game
breaking that you need to try and convince others to not buy this game.
