Can't buy Destiny: The Rise of Iron

I'm having the same issues as everyone else. The store just turned my redeemed code into the paid amount but told me to search for the desired content but xbox live is only selling the bundle. Why did I spend cash for just the dlc if they are still trying
to shove the bundle and make me spend more for the game I already have purchased??. Please help me Microsoft. I'm seriously getting tired of this BS.

Purchased the $30 code from Gamestop and gave us $$ on our account, but can't load the game unless i buy the bundle, which I already have (except RoI). This is ridiculous - Microsoft or Bungie need to fix this.

I have the same issue and it is due to me not owning the other dlcs on this account but I do own them on a separate account. I brought destiny rise of iron from game hoping that they would just give me a code to download it but instead they gave me a £25
gift voucher and I am unable to buy rise of iron with this money as it is on the account that does not own rise of iron. How do I fix this?

I've been having the same issue. Come to find out its because I purchased the taken king on my account and was trying to get rise of iron on my husband's. So now he has the $30.00 on his Microsoft account and I can't use it on mine.

How do I set up user profiles so that multiple family profiles can all play the RoI doc from my home Xbox one? Previously we could all play TK downloaded via disc to the console, however after the RoI dlc download now only my profile can play and other
family profiles on my console now have the 'requirements not met' error message.

Hey guys -

To be clear, in order to purchase Destiny: Rise of Iron individually, the account you are attempting to purchase it on must own Destiny: The Taken King and all prior DLC's. If you own the DLC on a separate account, you will not be eligible for the upgrade
price and will need to purchase Destiny: The Collection. You can check your purchases on your
Microsoft Commerce account.

@NawEbs151 - You appear to be experiencing a different issue. I recommend creating your own thread for the best assistance possible.

Come on Microsoft and Bungie... get it together on this! My son pre-ordered Rise of iron through our local GameStop three months ago. When the 9/20 release date rolled around, he redeemed his pre-order for the download code. Unfortunately, as we all know
too well by now, the code was actually just a CSV code to put the money in his (actually my) Microsoft account. That's dumb enough, but we'll skip it for now.

A worse problem is that when we tried to purchase the Rise of Iron DLC, we found the upgrade was only available as part of a $59.99 (+tax) bundle. This also a well-know issue by now.

At first we worked with Microsoft Xbox One support, who had us jumping through hoops for a week trying to get to a point where we could buy the standalone DLC. No luck.

They finally told us that there would be a standalone version available for sale on Friday, 9/30 (today). Fail. Still not available.

We contacted Xbox One support (again!) this morning and were told to contact Bungie directly. Tried to look for a phone number or a chat support or even an email address on the Bungie site, but there are only forums. How the hell are we supposed to contact
Bungie without any contact channels??

Finally, my son pointed to the notice that Rise of Iron requires you to have The Taken King as a prerequisite. My son has the The Taken King, but it does not show up in his(my) account. We were able to verify with Xbox One support that they can "see" a
license for both Destiny and The Taken King on their end, but for some reason it is not visible via the console (or even via my account if Log in via a desktop). What the hell?!

Probably the worst aspect of this is that all of his friends that use the PS4 platform have been playing Rise of Iron since 9/20... no problems redeeming pre-purchase codes, downloading, etc.

Wow! If this is a testimony to Sony vs. Microsoft, then Microsoft has seriously dropped the ball!

I"m having the same problem as everyone else. I purchased the code from Gamestop and now cannot download the game. I purchased the original game and the taken king in CD format, not through the xbox store. Microsoft tells me I don't have entitlements
for destiny or taken king. microsoft store only allows me to purchase the bundle, not the stand alone expansion. trying to get it through the game gives me the query service error. The people at microsoft say they can't just credit me another 33$ to be
able to purchase the bundle.

At this point I have spent nearly 5 hours on the phone with Microsoft support. I'm ready to send someone an invoice for my time at 35$ per hour.

If anyone has a phone number for bungee support please message it to me so I can call them directly.

You can't buy it on the store you can buy it thru destiny though click on rise of iron and click buy

I seem to be getting something different.

I can't easily find "Destiny: Rise of Iron" in the store pages without doing a manual search for "Rise of Iron".

I get an add-on page for ROI, but there's no purchase/pre-order options. There's only a message that says "(!) Destiny: Rise of Iron is currently not available."

I game share and want to pre order Rise of iron. But my game share partner originally bought Destiny and it is not letting me buy rise of iron for us. Is this because we game share and he bought Destiny? We do have all of the other DLC .

In order to purchase Destiny: Rise of Iron you must make sure your account which is trying to purchase Rise of Iron owns Destiny: The Taken King. That is required to be able to purchase Rise of Iron.

Now if you have finished that step then you have a few methods of which you can buy the DLC:

1. You can sign into your account via this link here:
www.microsoft.com/.../c3tbg0pc3fc9 and buy the DLC

Or

2. Launch your game and under the director select the icon for Rise of Iron and select purchase and try to purchase the DLC.

Now you also could try searing the Store on your Xbox One for "Destiny: Rise of Iron" but if you do make sure it says "Pre-Order" otherwise you will run into the issue of it stating it can only be bought in a bundle.
