Can't buy backwards compatible games

when i try to buy a 360 game in xbox one, i click to see price, then a message poppin off like "sorry we had trouble loading some detalis, please try again later.", when i try it in the website it says the previous error message like in xbox, with a "There
is no valid payment option". I have a valid payment option in my microsoft account, so i don't know how to deal with this.

I have been trying to buy a backwards compatible game Red Dead Redemption for a while now but it seems I keep facing the same issue, which is that I do not have a valid payment option on file even when I'm paying for Xbox gold monthly.

When I change the payment method, it redirects me to the UK website asking for a UK billing address etc, however, I am based in SG and do not have that information.

Is there a support email I can contact, the live chat doesn't work well for me as I am not at my desk all day and can't keep staying and waiting for an answer due to work.

I added a payment option to my account at account.microsoft.com or on my Xbox One console, but I don't see the payment option when I try to purchase.

If you don't see the payment option when you try to make a purchase, you need to add
the payment option on your Xbox 360 console.

So the only way to get past your issue would be to add your payment option on an Xbox 360 console, not ideal but if you have a friend who has a 360 or know someone who has a 360 then you could download your
profile to that 360, add the payment option, remove your profile after adding the payment option and you should then be able to purchase backwards compatible titles on your Xbox One.

 

i'm trying with my credit card (mastercard), it's valid, it will be expired in 2022. i don't have a 360 console, i never had before tho. i thinking about maybe i need to add my credit card to my 360 profile somehow, but i have no clue how.

my account didnt touched 360 console, only some 360 games, because some 360 games which is in the gamepass it's working, i'm able to download and play them, but example gold 360 games not working. i tried in the website but it's not working. i don't have
anybody right now who's have a 360 console, i don't wanna add my payment options with a random guy whos have a 360, i don't have trust with random peoples and i don't really want to buy that console only because of this, so i don't know what to do now

 

Hi, sadly without access to a 360 you're a little bit stuck as the only way to resolve the issue you're having is to add the payment option on a 360. I believe it's all down to the way the Xbox One store and Xbox 360 marketplace handle the payment options.

It may be worth contacting Xbox support to ask if there's anything they can do but I'm not sure they can.

i just don't get it at all, what causes this error, since i have one friend who also have xbox one, also didnt have 360 before (fresh ms account since he got the xbox one), and he able to buy 360 games without any error, and that's annoying me
