Can't buy backwards compatibility games on Xbox One

I tried buying Call of Duty: WaW on my Xbox one, I click show price and put in my passcode in but my screen goes dark and doesn't do anything. I also tried buying it on the Xbox marketplace online but comes up with 'Server Error in '/'
Application'. I tried to buy an Xbox One game on my xbox one and it went straight to my card details (after I put the passcode in) but when buying Xbox 360 games it doesn't do that.

Cannot buy games with backward compatibility (Trial Gold)

Hello 2 days ago and now i can't buy game with backward compatibility on xbox one s, i have 1 month trial gold, i read on some forum that becouse of that i have trial Gold i can't buy games with backward compatibility, is that true or this is other problem?

Backwards Compatibility isn't a joke.

It's a mystery.

Anyone who kept their 360 knows that the graphics look terrible after even only a little play on the XBox ONE.

So unless you couldn't really afford the XBox ONE (i.e. you can't afford to buy the current gen games for it)... why would you care about backwards compatibility?

People don't want "Backwards Compatibility". They just think they do.

 

This occurs for me, and many other users it seems, when purchasing Xbox 360 content from the Xbox One store. There doesn't seem to be a reliable fix for this issue. Instead, I'd suggest purchasing the game on the website, then download it on your Xbox One
from the Ready to Install section of My Games and Apps. You can purchase Call of Duty: World of War from here:

The problem is after I type my email and password, it says Server Error in '/' Application. I've turned my wifi off and used my mobile hotspot but still doesn't do anything

Are you still experiencing purchasing issues? If so, could you try purchasing the game via the console store again?

I eventually got it working, customer support had to lift a suspension or something on the lines of that to get it working

For a couple days now I've attempted to purchase World at War from the Xbox store to play on my Xbox one for backwards compatibility. However, when I have attempted to do this, at the end of the process a quick 1-second message comes up on my screen saying
something like "Sorry, this process cannot be completed, try again later" and this has been happening for a few days now every time I've tried.

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on the situation because I haven't found a solution for this.

Your issue sounds different than that of the original poster. Have you also tried to purchase the game on xbox.com as well? If you are still seeing the issue after trying on xbox.com, please create a new post so that the community can offer some assistance
