    Can't buy a game digitally because of region


    I live in Iceland and I wanted to buy Halo 3 on the xbox store for my old 360 and it would not let me complete my purchase. I tried also buying a digital gift code or whatever but that didn't work either. I also tried changing the store's region to Iceland
    and didn't let me purchase the game directly or buy a digital gift card (since they're not available for purchase in the Icelandic xbox store, really nothing is) so I am completely lost. Theres no hope for me to actually find a physical copy of the game in
    my country because no one plays on xbox here and if someone did this game is old as all hell, so I am completely lost here. I do not know what to do.

    why can't I buy all my games digitally

    I know that some regions are locked when it comes to digitally buying backwards compatible games but I think all your games that become BC should available to buy digitally too. Because some store don't carry the physical copy and I may not have the money
    to buy it from a different country.

    As stated in the title: Does anyone know why I cannot purchase the digital version of the base game for xbox one? It truly makes no sense.

    you can't transfer funds to different regions, so if you can't use the balance use, as long as you have address uses, to buy a digital game

    But why is something that is available in BOTH regions and is identical being region locked? If I take the ACIII disc version to the USA it will work. Why not the digital version? If it is a rule then why not state this before purchasing. Not make me have
    to look up some rules in some rights contract.

    The point is ACIII should not be region locked from these two Countries. A lot of the other games aren't. Why is this one? Are all games on demand now going to be region locked? They weren't before. Was able to buy a bunch of games when in the US. But now
    suddenly can't?

    Also this isn't a case of not being able to buy it. It WAS bought. But it can't be downloaded because the regions don't match up because currently the console is not in the same location. How is this fair? They took the money... and wont give the product.
    Pretty sure that is illegal.

    Is your creditcard an American creditcard and using an USM address ?

    You have to take it up with billing

    You always had ro have a creditcard based on where you live and having the same regional account

    Since Iraq is NOT an xbox live region you can't enter an iraq creditcard

    Now if you are an American service member you MUST use an us military address for it to work
