Can't buy a backwards compatible game even though I have my debit card registered.

In regards to this matter. I'd like to ask if you are doing this off an Xbox One, or online on our website?

I would recommend that you
remove your payment instrumentfrom your account first, and then go over to the
Xbox website off your mobile device, or any device that you can use to gain access to the internet.

Search the game up and choose the option to purchase it from our website, and you will be prompted that you need to add a payment instrument to continue.

Once your add your card to your account, you should be able to make the purchase and you can then either install it remotely to your console, or you can go an

manually install the game.

1.-Your error may be because you do not have money in your account.
2.-It may also be that the card you want to use does not allow purchases online.
3.-Your bank is blocking the purchase.
4.-Your card is not registered to buy on xbox.

Ur xbox is probably registering the card as Debit, Can't buy Gold with Debit

The only way to buy backwards compatible games on xbox one is with credit or debit cards and paypal. Or if you can log onto an actual xbox 360 console. This question always pops up on the forums and I really wish there was a way that the xbox 360 marketplace
could be backwards compatible itself on the xbox one. Since I don't use a credit card and I don't use my debit card online the only way to get xbox 360 games would be gamestop or ebay, unless the game was a digital release only.
