    Can't buy 360 games from xbox marketplace.


    So recently i got an xbox one and went on to download the free games with gold. When i tried to download backwards compatible dragon rising i was redirected to xbox website i realised i have to buy it from there, but when i try to do that it says i have
    no valid payment options, when in reality i do, i have 6 pounds from prepaid cards left but i can't use them in the xbox.com marketplace.Tried buying other games but it would always say i don't have valid payment options.
    I don't have a credit card linked up to my account and don't want to do that because i normally never buy games. It's just weird that you can't buy content with your money and i don't even know why you would need payment options for free content.

    If anyone could help me with downloading xbox 360 games on xbox one i would be thankful.

    You can't buy 360 games from the xbox one as they are separate marketplaces

    Only way to download 360 games is an 360 console.or the 360 Web marketplace

    You can't buy bc 360 games via your xbox one console yet.

    You would need to buy them either via a 360 console or from the marketplace here on xbox.com

    The website has never been updated to work with the currency system for 360 content. In order to purchase any 360 content, even free content, you will have to have a valid payment method on file (credit card or Paypal).

    Just to add to what Smwutches has said, when the currency system was added / updated (removing the MS Points system) the site changed to not accept the prepaid currency (also known as the Microsoft Account). For whatever reason, this only works via the consoles,
    phones, and the app/store on Windows and not on Xbox.com.

    Yes, the currency on the account works just real cash and can be used as payment method(using the console) however with regards to your case, you need to have a valid payment instrument for validation purposes. You are then good to go.

    I have the same problem, but I DO have a CCard on file. I had to for an Xbox gold trial month.

    No you can't just buy the installments from the Marketplace. You have to buy the full game from the marketplace, or you buy the disc version brand new with both discs.
