Can't buy 360 games from my Xbox one or Xbox.com

Hi, been trying to buy 360 games from the online store and Xbox one console and just can't. Tried it all, whenever I contacted the support they were not able to help at all. They told me it's about my location, my console is set to UK, same for billing address
and everything else. At the moment I'm in Spain, but that shouldn't be an issue since Xbox one is region free. According to the guys from support I should wait till I get back to the uk to buy games...

Buying games digitally

You can't buy bc 360 games via your xbox one console yet.

You would need to buy them either via a 360 console or from the marketplace here on xbox.com

Purchasing DLC from XBox.com instead from the console itself

On my XBox 360 I could purchase any game and DLC directly from XBox.com and it would appear in my download-queue on my console.

Is it still possible to purchase DLC for XBox One games from this website or do I have to purchase them from the console itself? I can purchase whole XBox One games from XBox.com, but I can't find any option to buy DLC...

 

The Xbox One is "region free" in terms of it not having any region-locked games and imports could be played on any console. This only applies to Xbox One games, though. Xbox 360 games were originally region-locked, and possibly still remain so through backward
compatibility.

The fact that you are currently in Spain and your account is based in the UK is probably introducing some conflicts in the system that is preventing you from downloading 360 games.

It is possible to
change the region of your Xbox account -- but this is ONLY recommended if you intend to
permanently move to Spain. This can complicate things like digital licenses and such, so if you're just visiting for a little while, don't do this at all.

You'll likely just have to wait it out until you get back home in the UK like the support guys told you.
