Can't assign my console as Home Xbox

My wife and I keep our profiles on each other's consoles so we don't have to buy each game twice. Well, I recently got a code for the Home front Beta and wanted to install it in my console. When I tried to change my system to my "Home Xbox" it said that
I hit the limit of 3 changes per year.

So I called Xbox Support and the person I talked to had no idea that this was even a problem. They recommended that I hard reset my console, which didn't work. So I politely hung up and called again. This person didn't have a clue either. I called 2 more
times, and neither time did the people have a solution.

Am I stuck now? Do I really have to wait an entire year for this to be resolved?

Family share and license share limitations.

As far as I know that should work, or just assign your new console as the "home" console and carry on sharing as before, you get 3 "home" assigns per year I believe.

Xbox live home gold question?

You designate one console as the Home Gold console with the gold account. Any gamertag that logs in on that specific console has gold benefits, & the primary gold account has gold on any console. You can't use one gold account to assign multiple Home consoles.

Yes,you can only set your home console 3 times in a year so if you have already done that you will have to wait a year from the 3rd time until you can change it again.

You did assign your console to be your 'My Home' console, correct? If it isn't assigned as the home console, you will have to be logged in for your wife's profile to play the game.

The 1st profile ever signed into the console will automatically be assigned as My Home Xbox.

You will give a notification on screen on how many switches you have left with your My Home Xbox assignment.

You can only have 5 switches within a one-year period.

Hi ChefBoyRDzNuts!

To clear it up. You need to assign your account on his console as the home xbox. When you're signed in on his console then go to the home xbox settings. It will show you that "This is not my home Xbox", then when you click it, it will then be your home xbox.
That's already set and everything should work fine.
