Can't add Xbox Series S to Xbox App on Android

Basically, I want to use Remote Play.

First, I tried using the "Xbox Game Streaming (Test App)" on my windows PC and it just won't connect (shows rocket ship loading animation indefinitely). THEN I tried setting up my phone to see if that worked. When I get the app set up I go to "My Library" and then the "Consoles" tab where I choose "Add existing console" and it tells me to sign into the Xbox. When I sign into the Xbox, nothing happens in the app or the console. They just sit there.

On the other side, my husband's account works just fine. He is able to stream to PC and to his phone with no problems and we can't figure out WHY this is happening with my account.

We actually went through troubleshooting with an "Expert" in chat and ended up resetting the console settings to go through the new setup from scratch. I used my phone to set it all up so Remote Play starting working for me. But now my husband's phone won't connect to the console. Is this expected behavior? Can a console not be connected to or controlled by multiple accounts through the Xbox app?

This is one of the original attempts (along with stuff like clearing app data on the phone, etc). I've heard now, from the same support expert, that it's not possible to have two accounts connected remotely like this to the same console. This is how we have our Playstation console set up, so we assumed the Xbox had the same capabilities.

Yes, after some research it seems the consola can only be linked to one app!

Hi there GothicThylacine welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I've never tried to link an Xbox to multiple apps, but, when I have issues between my Xbox and any of my apps I do the following:

1. Turn off your Xbox using the power button on the console.

2. Once your Xbox has completely powered down, unplug the power cord from the back of the console. Don't simply unplug the cord from the wall's electrical socket — it must be disconnected from your Xbox.

3. Wait for 5 minutes, and then reconnect the power cord to both the Xbox console and the electrical socket.

4. Let another minute pass.

Same issue. Can't link through Xbox Series S, Xbox app or through FB.

So long as its paired correctly through the Xbox Game Streaming App, then yes, the Elite and Elite Series 2 controllers should both work on a mobile device via Bluetooth and wireless pairing on Android.
