Can't add one particular friend on XBL

    Can't add one particular friend on XBL


    I have been having an issue for some months now where I added a friend (won't name him here for obvious reasons) on XBL but the request on my end showed as "Friend Request Pending" on every device I use (Xbox 360 console, Xbox.com, my Windows Phone, etc.).
    However, interestingly enough on his end he had accepted my request and he can see all of my activity, we can also send messages to each other normally (we haven't blocked one another, and neither of our friends lists are full, we have no problems with any
    other XBL members). However, we cannot send each other game invites - such as on World of Tanks - and when
    he sends me a friend request (after both of us deleting each other as friend/pending friend) it doesn't even show as a message on any device (same list as before). We have tried multiple solutions and at different times, even adding each other
    from Xbox.com doesn't work! Is this a common issue as I can't find anything about it on any other threads?

    Additional info: I have a 360, he has a 360 and an Xbox One; we both live within the same area - so the main phone exchange is used by both of us.

    Anyone feel Xbox live is dropping quailty ?

    Do I feel that XBL is dropping in quality? Nope. As long as XBL allows me to play online, chat with friends in Party Chat, and continue to be a portal for digital distribution, it's fulfilling what it's supposed to be. Avatars, Facebook, twitter, open
    betas, and the such are just add ons to the service.

    .

    Has the service evolved? Yes. Do the additional add-ons interest me? No. But they interest others, so be it.

    .

    The forums on the other hand, are on a level of suckage that can't be currently measured by any man-made instrument.

    I believe that the max number of friends you can have on your list is 1,000.
