    Can't add my xbox (microsoft) account to my xbox series x.


    It is a new console. I had a xbox one in the past where I used my regular account. Then I continued using the account on Windows xbox app.

    But now on this console when i try to add that xbox account, it just wont happen.

    I enter the email, then I enter the password, I continue and then nothing happens. I get thrown back to the screen where it says "+add new".

    I had to create a new account but i really want to get my old one on this new xbox, I feel like it should be possible.

    ¿Any suggestions?

    Same. My friend has both and Xbox gamertag (on Series X) and a PC. Owns both versions. I'm on Series X and we can't play unless he's on Xbox. Can't add his Origin ID to my EA friends. Not sure what to do.

    Let me help you with your concern today. Please note that this is a public forum and I'm merely a user, I apologize for a delay in response.

    Sorry to hear you're having trouble. Can you please check if you will be able to sign in online on Xbox.com?

    If you can sign in on the web with no issue, then it could just be a temporary problem on the console. Please try to power cycle your Xbox Series X and then try to add your account again.

    1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds. Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    3. Plug the console power cable back in.

    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on. Once it is turned on, please try to add your account.
