Can't add funds to a child account for purchases on Xbox........

In a family group, the primary account can add funds to a child account, but funds cannot be transferred between accounts otherwise.

2. Select the " See Contact Options" or "Request a Call" button
   
3. Select the following drop-down menu options in the following order:
   What are you having trouble with? - XXXXXXXX
   What's the issue? -XXXXXXXXX
   
4. The third box will ask you to describe your issue. We suggest something along the lines of "Unable to redeem code due to missing digits on gift card" and then select the "Next" button.
   
5. The next window will provide you with support articles based on your request and we recommend reviewing the relevant articles before selecting the "See contact options" button.
   
6. On the final window, you will be presented with multiple options. We suggest selecting either the "Chat online" or the "Request a call" options to speak with someone. Be sure to provide as much detail as possible.

Even with your child having their own funds and bank, it's important to think about them making purchases that can cause their funds and bank accounts to be overdrawn. I would suggest reading through the Family and Online Saftey on Xbox Support to make an
informed decision.

As an Adult account in a
Microsoft Account family, you can add funds to a child's account, but that doesn't work vice versa. The process to add funds to

their account can be found here.

But you won't be able to add funds from your child's account to the Adult, those controls just aren't in place.

It sounds like the Privacy and Online Safety settings might be what's preventing him from purchasing
the title, so if he's in your Microsoft Account Family, you should be able to set permissions as you are comfortable with to allow him to purchase the title.
