    Can't Add Friends on Xbox app on PC


    When I click add friend, nothing happensI have tried this on Xbox app on windows, Xbox Console Companion, Xbox Beta app on android, Web browser: Xbox.comEverywhere either nothing happens or I get an error: "Try again in a bit. Something went wrong."
    I don't use my Xbox One anymore, it has been powered off for a long time. But I bought Forza Horizon 4 and am playing on PC and I am trying to add my friend. Do I need Xbox Live subscription to add friends? Or just an account?

    Hi!

    Xbox Live subscription is not needed to add friends, but it is needed to play multiplayer.

    I suggest to check your Microsoft Account privacy settings here:

    https://account.xbox.com/settings

    Check the You can add friends option under the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab.

    Sorry to hear it. Make sure the app and PC are up to date. If you're still unable to add friends on the app then go to
    https://xbox.com and click on your gamertag icon in the upper right corner then select to see your Xbox Profile. There you can search and add friends.

    You can also add friends using the Windows Game Bar. Just press the Windws Key+G to launch it
