Cant add friends on my Xbox or PC app

So I checked the privacy security settings, it is set to adult.

Privacy settings set to adult

Can communicate with people outside Xbox set to allow

You can add friends set to allow

I am the default and only user

No I do not have a family account

Yes I am an adult

Ive added friends before

Rebooted

Logged out, logged back in

I still get the screen saying change privacy settings. I changed it on my Xbox, Ive changed it on my PC, still the same issue.

I dont know what changed, but this morning I tried it and it just worked. I was able to add my brother's gamertag as a friend.

I appreciate it, Florida. In this case, we may need to wait within 24 hours before trying again as there are other reports as well it can be an intermittent issue since we have confirmed that your settings are setup correctly as well.

Thank you for the update. If this is happening with multiple devices it may mean that it's your account.

There are multiple reports but there is no official announcement yet.

Have you tried to add a friend again via website or PC Xbox App?

Yeah I've tried the Xbox Game Bar app, if I try to send a message it says "Something went wrong, try again later" and if I try to add a friend it won't let me.

When I try using the Xbox app on PC it won't even let me browse the community tab and everything I boot up it has a notification to change my Privacy settings even after I change them, reboot, logout, login.

With the app on Android I get an error icon when I try to add a friend or send a message.
