Can't Add Friends. Help!

I have read every forum on this subject that I could find and have tried everything.

I have: checked the connection, checked parental controls, redownloaded my profile, reinstalled all updates, reset my router, and the ever-so-fun restarted my XBox 360 8 billion times. My friend uses an XBox One. Would that mean that I can't add him? Or,
is my XBox just flawed? I've also noticed that my 360 won't let me play ANY XBox games that it should, like Halo 2. Please help!

Can't add friends

Hello I run a dedicated server for ark survival evolved. And I have to add friends for them to join. It seems recently I can't add people. It's just says can't save changes try again in a while. Is there a friend's cap? Hope to hear back soon. People looking
to be added to server list. Thanks for your time.

You should still be able to send him a friend request, but it won't show as a friend request on the One. He should be able to accept the request through xbox.com though.

As far as playing original Xbox games, what kind of console do you have and what size hard drive? Did the hard drive come with the console or was it purchases separately from a third party/used?

Hey, thanks for replying! I managed to add him on xbox.com, BUT it still doesn't show up on my 360. I do show up on his friends list, though. Any thoughts?

As to the harddrive, I bought the 360 used and it came with a 125 GB HDD. I believe that it is an official XBox HDD. Any thoughts?

Not sure about the friends list thing. Hopefully someone else will see this and might have an idea.

If the 360 you purchased is the older fat model then it should be a 120gb hard drive. If it's the Slim versions yhere was no official 120gb hard drives for that version so it would be a knock off. Generally buying used hard drives causes the issue. Either
something could have happened to the emulation software on them or they're knockoffs.

I believe that the max number of friends you can have on your list is 1,000.

And what ratio do you have between "Friends" and "Followers"? If you add to much people and this ratio too big you cannot add more and will freeze your friends list.

Does an error message appear when you try and add them as a friend?

Did you tried to power cycle your console? You can find all info of how to do it here: https://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console

If doesnt work, you still can delete and re add the profile.

Not sure why this would work since as i said, it's also affected on the xbox website and app but i tried it anyway. Safe to say, nothing's changed
