    Can't add any payment options to my account.


    I have a Paypal and a debit card, but I cannot add either to my account.

    When I attempt to add my Paypal, it sends me to Paypal and I log in, then it sends me back to the page on Xbox and nothing happens. (No error message, but the account doesn't get added)

    When I attempt to add my debit card it gives me the following message:

    "We can't authorize the payment method. Please make sure the information is correct, or use another payment method. If you continue to get this message, please contact your financial institution.
    Error code30225-sLsJEwAAAAAAAAAA-8bf95110-e94c-4bed-b1b6-49513d50667c"


    I've tried adding both payment options from both PC and console. Neither work.

    My billing info is up to date.

    I've spoken to Xbox support and they told me that my bank is probably blocking my card from being added.

    I contacted my bank and they told me that from their end, nothing is amiss, and that my card IS in fact being authorized. Yet, based on that error message, it obviously isn't.

    I've done a little research and read from other cases that there's a possibility that Xbox has my Microsoft account "under watch" because of potential fraud, and thus not allowing me to add any payment options.

    Help?

    How to Manage your Xbox LIVE payment options

    Overview

    You can choose to use more than one payment method for your Xbox LIVE account. The payment options include credit cards and PayPal accounts. You can use these payment options to buy items from Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

    The 2-year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract uses only credit cards as the payment option. The other payment options like Debit Cards, Prepaid cards and PayPal are not valid for this subscription. However, you can change your payment to another credit card.

    If it is before the end of the two years and there is no credit card associated with your account, it is assumed you have terminated the subscription, and you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and any applicable taxes.

    It is easy to edit your payment options on your console or at Xbox.com

    Steps to Follow

    Add or change a payment option using your console

    1) Use your Xbox LIVE gamertag to Sign in.

    2) Proceed to Settings and then select Account.

    3) Select Manage Payment Options, and then choose either of the following:
    • If you want to add a new credit card, select Add Credit Card.
    • If you want to use your PayPal account on Xbox LIVE, select Add PayPal. You will be required to enter your PayPal username and password. Follow the instructions to add PayPal as a payment option. You cannot use PayPal as a payment option for the 2 year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract. PayPal is not available in all regions.
    4) After making changes to payment options, select Update Payment Option.

    Add or Change a payment option on Xbox.com

    1) Go to My Account.

    2) Select Payments and Billings and click on Manage Payment Options.

    3) You may be required to Sign in using your Microsoft account (email and password).

    4) Proceed to do either of the following:

    If you want to edit a payment option, select Edit.

    If you want to add a payment option, you can do either of the following:
    • Click on Add New Credit Card and enter the credit card information
    • Click on PAY with PayPal and follow the instructions.

    did you also try to add your payment option via
    http://billing.microsoft.com?

    If that also doesn't work then I advise you to contact Xbox Support again, since if the issue is on MS side they are the only ones that can solve the issue.

    No dice. Going in circles. Xbox keeps telling me to contact my bank/Paypal. My bank/Paypal says everything looks a-ok on their end. Not sure what to do at this point.

    I can't add any payment options is what I'm saying. My location right now as I type this from my Windows Phone is not the USA it is Trinidad and Tobago. In my hotmail account it is Trinidad and Tobago but here on this website it is USA and on the website
    you gave me, also USA and it cannot be changed so therefore I can't add payment options.

    Hello i have the same Problem. Can't buy anything from the Store. All my Payment Options disapeared. I'm from Germany. Pre-ordered Games still are preordered with my Payment Options for example with Paypal but i can't buy anything new. And i can't
    add a new Payment Options.
    Did you tried to add them through Microsoft Account Management Page?

    You should be able to do it through www.xbox.com Sometimes directly through console can be tricky. Also, check your connections, just in case!

    The subscription given to me by discord is a 3-Month Xbox Game Pass (not ultimate), and I didn't notice that it says "Valid for new Xbox Game Pass members only", any way the problem isn't that I can't redeem the code it self, the problem is when I try to add a payment option no matter from where I try it doesn't work and shows the same error, even when trying from a new account on a different device and network.
