Can't activate Forza Horizon 2 key

I have downloaded and played Forza Horizon 2 for the past couple of days because it's a part of Games With Gold but I wanted to buy it so I can own it after my subscription ends. I bough a code and tried using it through every possible browser, the xbox
app, and the xbox one console itself but all the code menus start loading something after I type in the code, then they either close, or redirect me to my account page. I can't seem to activate it in any way. The code of the game is supposed to be global and
activatable where I have my account.

Is it possible that I'm not able to activate it because I already 'have' the game with Gold? Or should I be able to activate it nonetheless.

ALSO: When I go into the xbox store on my console, I can see the game, but I can't buy it for myself, it says I already own it. I can only buy it as a gift for someone else.

Anyone have any experiences like that?

is it possible to activate, download and play Forza Horizon 1 on Xbox One only with the Forza Horizon 1 Key for Xbox 360? The code is not used.

i sure hope not i thought the first horizon was a horrible racing game. i beat it within 3 days

 

To verify that the code works you should test using another account, without having to confirm the redemption of the code

 

I do not know but it may be that in your account you can no longer redeem this code, since you "bought" the game with Live Gold, then you will probably have to keep your signature active to play or You will have to redeem It in another account to play It,
set the other account as your home console or sig in every time You want to play It in your account

 

Thanks for the reply. I believe that on the xbox website as well as in the xbox market it says that I can play this game while I have Gold but if I want to own it after that, I should buy it. Do you think I will be able to redeem it after my subscription

I have another account I can try this on. Are you sure when I type in the code it's not going to automatically redeem it?

 

Okay, quick update! I tried redeeming the code with a different account which doesn't have Live Gold and it works. I didn't click Redeem but it does work. This leads me to believe that I can't redeem a game I already have through Games With Gold.

 

It's not gonna redeem It, You will have to confirm If You want to redeem the game in the account

I already mentioned in my original post that I have tried every possible browser and app to try and redeem it but it just doesn't work on the account which has an active Gold subscription.

I'd like to keep my progress on my current one. And besides that, I have an account in the Forza Hub with my main account. I don't want to lose all that.

 

Hi, if I'm not mistaken you'll need to uninstall the current games with gold version and then redeem the code. If you already have a game installed you can't usually then redeem a code for the game as the system sees you have the game installed already.
