Can't activate Dead Rising 2 off the record on GFWL. Fails to connect to server to verify ...

As the title states I can not activate my copy of Dead Rising 2 off the record on GFWL. I purchased this game new and factory sealed so I know the CD key is valid. When I launch the game I get the message "Games for windows live must verify the release
date of your game. Please make sure that your computer is connected to the internet"

I choose continue and I get the message "Games for windows live can not connect to the live service. Please make sure your computer is connected to the internet."

I know my computer is connected to the internet and I can connect to Live thru GFWL with other games. I also tried loading a game I know will connect to Live and tried launching the game, but get the same results. As of now I have no way to play this game
and it doesn't provide an option to play offline with a local profile.

This game uses "zero day piracy protection" and I can see the service launch in task manager when trying to start the game. Do we know when MS will put this server back up, remove the protection, or give me a refund of the purchase price?

DR2 OTR is not the only game using ZDPP, so this issue will continue coming up.

Capcom's official blog has splurged a release date for the upcoming Dead Rising 2: Off The Record expansion, which is coming
to North America on 11 October followed by Europe three days later on 14 October.

The expansion pack centres around Frank West, star of the first Dead Rising, who returns in a 're-imagined' – read more of the same – Dead Rising 2 campaign with new weapons, areas and bosses, co-op, photo missions and, of course, legions of the undead to slay.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will be released at retail on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, priced around $40(£)



Well....be fun to play as Frank West in a full game rather then DLC, one I have to admit yet to complete

 

fable 3 zdp zero day protection cant connect to servers

This does not work. I haven't been able to play this game in a year now. First it was GFWL not working and giving the purchase history error for months. Then they fixed that but Fable 3 just will not verify the release date. Ive been trying to activate
this game everyday since GFWL was fixed but it won't activate.

There is no support you can contact for this game microsoft closed down lionhead studios a few months back and all GFWL links lead to dead pages. I own this game and all the DLC content and can't play it really frustrated at this point.

 

Did you manage to figure out what was going on here and resolve it?

 

I have not received an answer yet. I've been searching other forums as well, but still no answer. If this can't be fixed MS should be issuing refunds as a number of games are still using this ZDPP. This protection has made the game(s) worthless.

 

I have the exact same issue with fable 3. I got a new hard drive so I had to install it again. but it won't verify its release date and so I'm stuck not being able to play it anymore!
