    Can't activate 12-month membership card(s)


    Recently bought an x-box one at best buy and did some bundle deal where they included two, 12-month membership cards. After trudging through internet problems between my ISP and xbox live, I finally have the option to sign in and enter one of these codes.
    After entering it gave me the error messages that "Something is wrong, try again later.."

    That was last night; after trying both of these codes and having neither of them work, either on the xbox one or on this website, I am wondering if it is a problem on my side, if I am already a "Gold Member", or if I have some billing issues with one of
    the cards on my account, etc.

    Just hoping someone can help me resolve or inform me of some problems happening on x-box's side.

    Error upon activating my gold membership for the first time

    I got this error code below every time I tried to activate my new 12 month gold membership card, it says "something went wrong try again later" could any body help how to activate membership card

    your gamertag transmooker is shown with active Gold.

    your codes might have been used correctly although you recieved an error.

    you can check your subscription Status on your console - from the home Screen open Settings (menu button if no tile is present), then select subscriptions. your current Gold is shown there.

    Of course it shows that now. I purchased gold with my credit card because I figured it would be resolved within a month. I can't delete a card on my account either, so I figure it has something to do with a payment that wasn't completely payed. I can't really
    figure out if it has something to do with a card, because it has been on there for years. It is my mom's credit card from when I was like 16.

    Anyway, I just would like to know if there is a way I can pay an old payment on my card or if I can never use the two cards for a subscription.

    You can purchase 5 years of Live Gold membership on 5 12 month cards and activate each one as each year expires. Or you can activate 3 12 month cards and have a total of 36 months of maximum subscription and then activate the 2 12 month cards.

    You can't remove a card while a card is paying for the active subscription, so this story doesn't add up.

    Call up support, they will be able to cancel the 12 month renewal, refund the charge if it is within a certain period, and then redeem your 12 month card.
