Can't access Xbox One webstore

Hi to anyone reading this.

I am an Xbox 360 user thinking about purchasing an Xbox One. To get an idea of prices and to see if I could download the GWG title so I have content when I decide to buy one, I've tried looking at the online Xbox One Store

However, when I try to access the store I'm met with an error message saying I've "Found a glitch in the system". This only seems to be when I'm signed in. I can see the store fine signed out.

I'm assuming this is because I don't have an Xbox One tied to my account. Would this be right, or have I really found a glitch?

If it helps I have a UK account trying to access the UK store.

I've never seen any of these details posted anywhere. That's some misleading/fraudulent behavior.

I've cancelled my xbox live membership.

 

The website will sometimes throw out these errors, but it should not be related to your lack of a One.

Try logging out from Xbox.com, clearing your web browser's cache and then closing all open browser windows. Then re-open it and navigate to the page and hopefully you can see the page.

Alternatively, try a different web browser and see if that helps.

If you click on those game tiles you should see an information page with download size and price for all released games.

I've tried your suggestions, and non of them have seemed to work. :/ i've tried different browsers (on different devices as well), cleared my cache etc., and I get the same message each time.

If you do click to sign in, what happens? I had to log in again to access that part of the site, even while I was still logged in without issue on other parts of the site.

 

I just get the error message again . It doesn't ask to sign in again or anything.

Did you try accessing the page (store.xbox.com/.../games) when not actually signed in at all? Does that work or same error?

 

Yeah, the link works when signed out. It only seems to have errors when signed in. Oh well, at least I can see prices that way. :/

 

OK, well that's something.

Earlier today there was actually a service alert up saying that browsing Xbox One games on Xbox.com was having problems, maybe it's still persisting for some.

So now you can see the prices, try again throughout the week to see if you can get access while also signed in so that you can have a go at 'downloading' the GwG titles for the month. I don't know for sure whether it will work to purchase the free games
without owning an Xbox One as nobody, that I know of, has been able to try it yet, but it's worth a shot.

And if it still doesn't work later in the week, either get in touch with @XboxSupport on Twitter (if you use that) or reply here* and other things can be looked into. For now, though, it could easily just be remnants of the earlier issue.
