Can’t access Xbox live

Hi,

I’ve recently purchased Xbox live gold for my son on his Xbox one ( 12 months ). Every time he tries to to play with his friends it says he must purchase Xbox live gold. When I go to settings on his Xbox and then to subscriptions it says he has purchased
it and it’s not due for renewal till 2019. I’ve tried signing him out of his account and back in, that didn’t work. I’ve tried the old turn it off, turn it on, that didn’t work. Don’t know what to try next? Help?

Two emails

I purchased Xbox live using my gmail account but am signed into my Xbox using hotmail account and can’t access Xbox liveCan i combine the account or transfer the membership?

Can’t access Xbox live subscription

Hi, I'd first recommend to visit http://account.microsoft.com/services and log in with the account that has the subscription to make sure it shows up there. If the subscription shows, I'd try removing the
account with gold from the console, then performing a power cycle on the console, then re-adding the account with gold. Note that you'll need to know the email and password associated with the account you're removing/adding, so only try this if you know that
information.

If none of that is helpful, I'd recommend contacting Official Xbox Support at the following link: Contact Us | Xbox Support

Why are Microsoft unable to send recovery details to the email address associated with the account?

Also if it can’t be recovered how do I cancel the Xbox Live subscription because I can’t cancel it via the Xbox or accessing the account

Did you just give me false information? Because I’ve tried that and XBOX live said they can’t do anything on the accounts. They can’t access the email, or change the email. They can’t do anything to give me access to the gamertag according to the person that called me. They said only Microsoft and outlook can do anything about it as the email can only be changed by logging into it which i can’t do because the email is locked…

Just noticed that my game tag is an order one I’ve got 2 emails and I’ve used them both and I still can’t get my usual game tag if I can’t get my usual tag on i can’t access Xbox live
