Can't Access Xbox 360 Games with Gold

With my Xbox Live Gold account, I'm supposed to have access to not only Xbox One titles, but Xbox 360 as well. I've wanted to download this month's Xbox 360 free game (Dungeon Siege 3) but it isn't available to me. When I go to my Gold hub area on Xbox
One, it shows the two Xbox One titles I can get (I started my membership mid-month in November) but not Dungeon Siege. When I use the Xbox Games with Gold web site, after clicking on the link to download Dungeon Siege 3 from the Xbox Store, it takes me to
a page where the only option is to download it to my Xbox 360. I've contacted Twitter support and they haven't figured out why I can't get this game. Any thoughts?

Can't access games with gold

I've never used this forum before - sorry if I make rookie mistakes.

My son, age 11, has an Xbox live gold subscription which renews every 3m using my debit card which is linked to his account. We've just heard about games with gold & are trying to download Rayman legends. It's rated as 7+ I think, and he's allowed to use
anything 12 or below. I've changed the settings on his account so he can purchase any content.

Apparently we should see an Xbox live gold tile on the home page on the Xbox consoles (we have both 360 and One). But we can't see this at all. We've searches for "games with gold" using the search function & get no results, and when we click on Rayman legend
we only have an option to purchase. This was all while signed into his account.

I then tried to do it on Xbox.com, signed in on his account but it says he can't get it on Xbox.com & to download it from the console :-(.

Any ideas please?

Also having problems. I have 12 month Xbox live gold showing in subscription but can't access games with gold..

Yes you have to download the game to your 360 click it

As long as it does not return an error your fine

Well first you need to rent a xbox 360 or borrow one and use your account to download it

For first free purchases you need to make the purchase from a console to check for compatibility

Paid purchase do not have the issue

Once again, here is the link for Dungeon Siege:

When you click Download to 360, it should immediately appear in your "Ready to Install" section on your Xbox One assuming you are signed into the same profile on Xbox.com and Xbox One. You do not need to "rent or own" an Xbox 360. Since all of the games
with gold going forward will be Backwards Compatible, you will download the 360 games from Xbox.com and they will appear on your One (My Games and Apps > Games > Ready to Install).

The Marketplace Link doesn't work. Once you click on "Download to 360" it asks for payment information. My profile for the Xbox One is the same as my old Xbox 360 profile (I've been a member using this email address for 11 years). I had previously purchased
Just Cause 2 in 2013 with this account, and had no issues with downloading that title. Even my previous Xbox 360 "Games with Gold" titles that are now backwards compatible showed up in my Gold hub area.

You will still need to have updated payment information on your account in order to download the games from the marketplace.

This is the way it is supposed to work, however for some of us, the system does not recognize any payment options...

I have been unable to download any of the free 360 games due to this issue and MS has not been able to help.

Have you confirmed that the region of your payment option and the region of your console match?

Same problem here. My son has a 12 month prepaid gold account. Spent an hour chatting with tech support last Sunday. No solution. They were supposed to look at our account and get back (reply to my email) within 2-3 days. 10 days later and still no reply
or solution to the problem. Can't download free games from xbox store using a pc, the store at the console says bundle only.

You could never use it on the console for xbox one you have to queue via the website

Your parent option must be valid for your region.

This means American paypal wit an American credit card not a French etc

Billings info must match so using the migration tool must. Be completed eit a valid payment option

This means you cannot use an out of region paypal and expect it to work even if it's an American paypal account your billing info on your credit card must match

But because you have a 360 not an xbox one you can't access the gamepass games as you need the app which is not available on the 360

You came access the free xbox360 games with gold from the web aa the web marketplace isn't setup for 360 free transactions

Unfortunately the information given to you is incorrect (unless Microsoft changed that behavior).

If a person uses a shared Gold membership on a console, they can only use the Multiplayer benefits and party chat on that console.

The account itself is actually a free account, and therefore loses access to the Xbox One games with Gold.

An account using a shared Gold membership can't get Games with Gold, won't get Gold discounts on game purchases and other Gold benefits.

They can ONLY play multiplayer games and participate in Parties on the console that is sharing the Gold membership.

The Xbox 360 games will remain available, as the Xbox 360 system doesn't know how a "rental" license works and can't be revoked.

If you "bought" a Xbox 360 game as a Game with Gold, it will stay with you forever.

Xbox One games with gold cease to function if you are not a "real" Gold member. Shared Gold will not enable you to these games.

I have triple check my credit card and the profile info !!!

And for my gamertag, I can still have access to all my games with gold and the xbox one game it's just the xbox 360 games with gold that I can't obtains the new ones (the old one still works)

Hi, you can't, It's because of the profile needing gold on the 360 to access the cloud. Maybe Microsoft should do away with that restriction, otherwise a lot of gamers will have to start their games again on the Xbox One.
