This error is common and occurs far too often I've had to factory reset my Xbox three times in the last two months because of it and I've only had the *** thing since December . Factory reset is the only way to fix this problem. Then you have to download
everything again, which takes days, and quite frankly I'm sick of it. There was a time when you bought something if it didn't work the way it was supposed to you returned it you got your money back you bought something else or the company replaced it for free
this is completely ridiculous Xbox and I'm sick of it. I'm actually sick of everything you do Microsoft. You release products that don't work properly and think a patch is an acceptable way to fix your screw ups. And then the patch does more harm than good
because it inevitably screws up something else. I've had this thing for less than six months and it is cause me more problems than any PlayStation I have ever owned.

Moving Save Data on Xbox One

Hi. I want to uninstall a few games but don't want to lose my saves for them. I can't figure out how to move the save data onto a separate drive (USB stick) for safe-keeping and organisation and uninstall the games from my internal and external hard-drives.
I can't access the save data itself and when I unistalled one game but kept the save data, the game no longer shows in the games list and I can't find the save data to move it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

i recently bought a new xbox and transfered all my save data and profile from my old console to new console, but when i first tried to play dark souls game for the first time in my new console it asked me for an update, i did it and cannot able to access the
save data, i am getting an error message " cannot access savedata want to create a new savedata".

then i tried to run mass effect 3 for the first time in my new console it asked me update as well but i declined it and i can use my mass effect 3 save data.

does anyone know why is this happening ?

You can't delete saved data from a HDD from an external source so if someone did get access to you account that is not them doing so.

I understand you want to transfer your saved data from one account to another. But regrettably, this is not possible if you do not have access to the main account or the old account that has the saved data.

Ok thanks. I have 1.2gb of save data on the console. Is there no backup data stored within that which I could possibly access?

I can't delete the data off my console as apparently certain save files are not backed up to the cloud, such as career mode data. That data is saved to the console and if deleted off the console will not be recovered from the cloud.

Unfortunately, you can't transfer save game data from one account to another. Backup and Transfer will only transfer general settings of the console, not user specific data.

Since you can't seem to start the game on your old account, it might be that the savegame data became corrupted. If you are lucky, the console hasn't uploaded that corrupted savegame data to the cloud yet. So you could try the following (as you can't access
your current savestate anyways, you wouldn't really lose something that you can't access anymore):

Go to My Games and Apps and find F1 2020. Press the Menu button on the controller and choose to manage the game.

Choose the option to delete the save game data from this console's storage.

DO NOT delete the savegame from all consoles in the cloud storage!!!

After clearing your local (corrupted) copy of the save, restart the console by holding the power button for 10 seconds.

After you restarted the console, start F1 2020. It will show that it's syncing game data. DO NOT INTERRUPT THAT PROCESS!!!

If the console was able to download (a hopefully uncorrupted) version of your savegame from the cloud, you should now be able to continue your F1 2020 game.

If the game still crashes, then I'm afraid that your save became corrupted, and there is nothing you can do but start over.

Games are saved to the cloud if you are connected to the internet.

If the cloud save wasn't synced, you can't get your save data back.

Depending on the way you've deleted your game, you also deleted save data..

You can see if the data is still there when you go to my games and apps and check if the save data is still there.
