    Can’t access privacy and safety or family settings


    I tried to call MS but after 1 hour of resetting the xbox twice the issue is not fixed

    from xbox under settings i cannot load family settings, i want to change my kids permissions. I receive a message saying we were unable to get your family info from xbox live. Been like this for weeks. If i load a new game it asks for permission i always
    set to allow always yet i need to approve every time they play, its like it cant save the settings.

    so ignoring the xbox the same is on microsoft.com

    under xbox settings all settings load but safety and privacy does not, eventually says too many redirects. Tried from a mobile phone internet, home broad band and 3 different laptops so i know its not an issue my end.

    Agree this was eventually my solution. Remove everyone from the family group and start again. This issue seems to be a rare one but hope this article helps others.

    Have you tried changing you Xbox Live privacy settings on a web browser to see if you can get them changed?

    Yes adult account is being used, this used to work. I dont think this is an xbox specific issue i think the issue is with my microsoft account as its only the privacy and safety settings that cannot be access - tried from edge, chrome and IE.
