Cant access our Xbox live account

I read all your questions posted here and understand that you are having problems unlocking your account, according to your description you should have tried to restore your account by getting a verification code from your phone number and filling out the account restoration form, but you received an insufficient information message. I understand how you feel, usually the steps to unlock your account are as follows:



1. Obtain a security code from any phone number.

You may have used the cell phone number tied to your account to obtain a security code, in fact you can use any phone number to request a security code and that phone number does not need to be associated with your account.

We recommend that you fill in as much account-related information as possible to increase the likelihood that your account will be recovered.

Below are some tips that may help you successfully pass verification. (It is helpful if you are using a device that was previously used to sign in to your account and is located in the location where you typically use that device to fill out forms.)

1. Fill in the blanks with the personal information you entered when you registered for this account, or any personal information you changed.

2. If you have set up security questions for your account, the system will display [Answer Your Confidential Question: Default Confidential Question].

3. Please enter multiple possible passwords (e.g. ABC1234) in the “Other passwords you use for this account” field, do not leave this field blank.

4. Please select the Microsoft service you use and fill in the following suggestions. However, if you do not use the relevant service, please skip this question or do not need to check the relevant option.

5. The outlook.com section allows you to ask a family member, friend, or business contact for help in identifying their electronic mailing address and informing them of the subject line of any email you send them. If you can only get the recipient's email address, but not the subject of the email, you can fill in [none] to get the exact subject line of the email. Do not leave it blank. If you have not yet sent an email, but have received one, try filling in the subject line of the email in your Inbox.

6. For the Skype section (hint: try not to leave it blank), try to get the correct Skype username from three contacts.

7. For the Xbox section, select the Xbox console you are using and fill in the Xbox Gamer ID and the relevant Host/Device ID.



Once you have successfully unlocked your account, you will be asked to perform a security verification when logging in in order to ensure the security of your account. If the cell phone number to which you are tied to your account is unable to accept the verification code, you will need to add a new security verification message to your account and you will need to wait 30 days for the new security verification message to take effect. If you are unable to add the security verification information, you will need to fill out the account recovery form again.

They don't understand that we cant access our Accounts menu because we cant sign in!

Thanks for taking the time to reply but the problem is that this summer we got an xbox one x and took it back to the uk without signing out on our old xbox, someone logged in our old xbox and now we cant have access to our main account because its already
on the old xbox

The Xbox Live Servers say that "access is limited"

You cannot download purchases, redeem codes, or buy items.

Microsoft will still take your money and apply changes to your account but you cannot use any of them...

Think they will reimburse any of us losing our precious seconds of Live access who used a code in the last week?

No, because when has microsoft ever cared about their customers?
