Can't access my settings

    Whenever I try and go to settings it crashes and takes me to my home screen. Every time.

    Can't access my Account settings

    A new security update is out and I can't sign into my XBL account without verifying my original email address. This is an issue because I made that email address specifically for the XBL account and the only way i can retrieve that is through the account
    settings which I can't access until I verify the email address I can't remember. I'm planning on buying an xbox one after christmas and will want to carry my account over from my 360 but I need this sorted before hand because it's how i watch netflix and now

    Hey mate,

    I would try power cycling your console. You can do this by having the xbox on, then holding down the power button on the front until the console switches off. Leave it for a couple of minutes, then turn it back on. You should go first to the green xbox screen
    before it takes you to the sign in page, the green xbox screen shows that the power cycle has been done correctly, so make sure that shows.

    Once that is done, you should find that you are able to access your setting, however if not, let us know and we'll take it from there Can't access my settings :)

    Hey mate,

    How did you manage the factory reset, as that is done through the settings menu?

    Also, are you a part of the Preview Program?

    I've done a bit of research, and can see others have experienced this issue, however no one has yet found a fix. Hopefully one of the helpful Support Team will jump in and help Can't access my settings :)

    I can sign out of my account and go to settings. It's just my account that doesn't work.

    That is really strange! From what I've read, the hard reset should fix it, so is really strange that its not. I'll have to leave this for a support agent sorry, hopefully they should be able to shed some light Can't access my settings :)

    power cycle     of the console to see if that helps. If you continue to see issues, you may need to preform a

    factory reset     (we suggest starting with the Keep my Games & Apps option) as well. Post back and let us know how it goes!
