Can't access my friends list.. Again!

I can't access my friends list or party chat again! The last couple days have been terrible for trying to use xbox Is this down? Anyone else having this issue?

just outta curiosity is anyone who lost their friends list information on the family plan? my kids can access their friends list, have to join in on the party and game chats, can't send anything at all, but I can't do ANYTHING, no friends list, no messages,
no invites.... nada

 

Good to know because I didn't see it on Xbox.com/status, just getting super annoyed with all these issues

And all we ever get is " we will update you within a hour as we are working on these issues" bunch of crap

Don't pay monthly to not have a fully functioning xbox :-/

 

Having the same issue also also my friends and I can join in party chat but we can't hear each other and the little blue circle icons in the party chat either don't appear or doesn't show up that we are talking anyone having this issue as well? This is annoying
party chat hasn't worked right since Xbox 360

 

Yes. I am having this issue. I know a few others are seeing the same thing.

I am having the same issue, friends list shows no one online and when in a room with them it won't allow us to talk. Doesn't matter whether we are in game chat or a party.

The recent problems with the service is due to the DDoS attack on Xbox and Playstation. The attacks were huge in terms of data sent, and most systems would go down.

The problem, and irony, is that after the attacks stopped, all the millions of users for both platforms are trying to login at around the same time, creating massive data request on the servers, basically causing a kind of second DDoS'esque problem.

So if you are gonna blame something blame the responsible ones, not the ones probably being called in from their holiday celebrations with the family, to help get everything working again.

There is an talk show on youtube, i think it's called DramaAlert or something that has 3 hacker groups talking (one of the responsible group for these attacks) and they say that you cannot completely prevent a DDoS attack, so for those who think they are
wasting their money on Xbox Live, please know the the little money you pay does a lot more than you think.
