    Can't access Hotmail account, how can I get my gamertag and purchases back?


    My hotmail account is asking me to verify information I have no idea about anymore. I set it up years ago and used fake info so I can't answer the questions to restore the account. I called Microsoft customer support and they were useless. Just told me
    to go back online and fill out the form to recover my account. I tried to explain that I don't know that information. How can I get my gamertag and purchases back without knowing about the hotmail account connected to the gamertag?

    Account thieves tried to social engineer Microsoft Support to gain access to other peoples account with the exact same "reason" why they can't tell them the personal information in that account.

    Therefore it is VERY IMPORTANT to put accurate information in the account that you can remember and are able to verify in such a case.

    If you can't remember the "fake info", it is the same as if you were a hacker trying to "guess" accurate info from someone else.

    Therefore the Microsoft Customer Support can't/won't help potential account thieves.

    You will have to use the information XBF Eladio M provides, and if that doesn't work for you, then I'm afraid your account is now lost to the fake information in that account. 😞

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand you are currently experiencing difficulties with recovering your account.

    If you are unable to
    recover your account     by using the ACSR document, then it is unlikely that you will be able to recover your account. If you do know what the password and email are to your account, then there is a way to "force" additional security info to your account to
    recover access, and you can do that by following
    this     link.

    Xbox Customer Support would be unable to assist you with recovering your account and here on the Xbox Forums, we lack the necessary tools to grant you access to your account.

    I'm sorry about any confusion or turmoil this might have incurred.

    It's also best to not to lie cause remember lies are harder than remember than truth, Making false account information is already harder to prove that you're the creator of the account as well. I hope the link given to you is successful to get your issue
