Can't access gold features even though I have Xbox live gold.

Everytime I try to join an online session I keep getting told I need xbox live gold to access this feature even though i have gold

If online multiplayer was free for Xbox Live I wouldn't buy Gold.

I think it sucks that you have to buy a Gold account to play online, when it's free on other platforms, or to even access some none multiplayer online specific features in games.

Sadly my friends are all on Xbox Live too so Gold it is, lol.

At least the service is constantly updated though.

What if I can't access Games with Gold even though I have a paid subscription?

When you try to access Games with Gold, make sure you're using the gamertag that has the Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. If you redeemed a promotional Xbox Live Gold token as part of
your subscription, you won't be eligible for Games with Gold. If you used a prepaid code to sign up for Xbox Live Gold, make sure it was successfully redeemed.

If you live in one of the countries or regions listed above under "Offer and eligibility" and still can't access Games with Gold, contact Xbox Support.

Without it, just being silver, you can't play online or use any online apps and features.

I am having the same problem, and my Gold membership renewed on 2/1, and I still can't get to Netflix, even though the "I'm good to go" message appears when the message says I need Gold to access these features!! The messages keep taking me around in a circle.
My wireless connection is good and I verified my Gold membership. HELP!
