    I'm not sure why you got no answer to your question, but I can't get my Microsoft games to even open.

    if you purchased it on your son's account the confirmation email would be sent to the email address for his account.

    the email address will be the one he uses to log in on his Xbox

    Have you tried signing in to Xbox.com? This would help you determine if there is an issue with your log in information. If everything works, you should try removing and re-download your Xbox profile from your Xbox.
