Can't access 360 with Xbox one account.

I changed my gamertag on the Xbox one and now I can't sign in on the 360. I tried signing in with my new GT and my old but neither work.

First time use/setup

Hi. I've bought a day one edition for my boys a surprise for Xmas but not had a chance to test it yet. Because one of my lads already has a 360 in his room with his own gold account, I am going to set up the xbox One with his as the primary account fir the gold access as that way we can use the same gold account on his 360 and the shared Xbox one.

However, if I set the Xbox one up late one night presumably I will have to add the primary/gold account that it will use (I.e my son's) as part of the initial set up . Then I'll try it with one of the games. So by doing this, when he next uses his 360 will he see that his account had been used on an Xbox one? Obviously I don't want him to suspect there is an Xbox one in the house!!!

Child account linked to old unused account

Hello, a while ago we bought an xbox one to replace an xbox 360. When we set this up a new adult account was set up. My son logged into his 360 account to play games. However, his account is still linked to my old adult 360 account which we now can't access.
As we can't link to this account he is not able to buy games or use vouchers which he has been bought.

Is there anyway to delete an old account or the move the child account to a new adult account when you can't access the adult account?

Any help much appreciated.

is Bi0nicPlatypus the correct gamertag?

are you using the same email on both consoles?

which error do you recieve when you try to sign in on either console?

I changed it to that one yes, the email is the same for both and the 360 is the problem

I have the Fable 2 Collectors Edition Disc and play the game fine but I can't access my Xbox 360 special content. I added the code for the Fable 2 Master Chief Armor and sword on Fable 2 launch and was able to use on the Xbox 360 but can't access it on the
Xbox One. The DLC isn't listed in the DLC menu and I can't access the Xbox One Xbox360 Emulator download history to download the content to the Xbox One.

Check your payment method as well. If you are trying to buy a Backwards Compatible game, you can't use your account credit unless you go to an Xbox360 and purchase it there then download to your Xbox One.

Also, if your account is a child account, this may be the likely issue. If you have access to an Xbox 360, the parent account might be able to make the purchase on there but you will not be able to access the content on your Xbox One.

We have a similar issue. Can't access free games on website at all. Can get the Xbox one free games on console. Can't access 360 free games.

As if the Xbox One can't play any 360 games.

I will still want to play Halo REACH and Halo 4 as well on my 360. But I will be porting my Gold Account to the Xbox One.

You maybe able to upload your profile to the cloud. And then it maybe accessible for both. Only 1 device would most likely be able to access it at any one time, but that makes sense.

I have had an Xbox 360 system for years and have purchased many games and been an xbox live gold member for years. I have multiple games (approx. 50) in my xbox 360 library and have not changed my account at any point in time. When I got an xbox one I
put my account information into it so that I could access and continue with my current xbox live gold account which I have always had. The xbox one did not connect to my xbox 360 online library of games that I had purchased in the past. I figured they were
not able to be accessed because they were not compatible with the new system but have not been able to access or even view them without going to my xbox 360 account on the actual console. My dilemma is, is there anyway that I can access my xbox 360 online
library with my xbox One or even access the xbox 360 online library via computer with my online xbox account as it doesn't let me access those games either.

Is it a setting that I need to change or what gives as I can't seem to figure it out?
