    Hello there, I'm not sure where to post but I have been having problems with accepting and sending friend requests.

    Yes the gamertag is correct and also setup xbox live for my girlfriend and it won't let her send me a request or I can't send her any, she added 2 people got a new Xbox and now it won't show her friends in the friends list, we can message each other but
    can't send friend requests or accept them at all, it comes up with a xbox live error thing and says to visit xbox for support. I've tried and looked up everything to fix this problem but I cant seem to find a solution anywhere and it is making me frustrated.
    Someone tried to add me today that I met online also and I cant accept that for some reason. Can someone PLEASE help me out! Can't accept or send friend requests. :(

    Hi there KraziKiwi.

    On your Xbox One console, let's have you try visiting Settings>System>Storage>Clear local Xbox 360 storage. Start up a backward compatible game and then re-download your Xbox 360 profile.

    I don't know if it's because I'm playing 360 games through Xbox one X or something but the 360 system won't allow me to accept or send friend requests recently. I was able to last week. Judging by the posts I've seen I take it that it isn't. Is there a way
    to fix this or will I must have to wait?

    I'm having the same problem and a few others that are from the eastcoast are too. I have opened a port and redownloaded my profile and still can't send or receive iv tried almost everything

    I am having this same problem so I know I'm not helping but this is the second time this has happened to me. the first time it kind of resolved itself within a few hours but this time it still is giving me the same issue. I live in Michigan by the way so
    I don't know if it's just because we're so far east or if it's just the 360 servers acting up while the people at microsoft are updating xbox one servers or what (I've never been a techy guy but I know that this is not supposed to happen)

    Hey guys, there is actually huge issues with the Xbox Live service right now affecting gaming and social features on both consoles:
    support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status

    I'd say to sit tight for the time being until the status alert has been lifted, this has also been going on since the weekend.

    All fixed now. According to Xbox Support Can't accept or send friend requests. :)

    Hey guys, this is an old thread, it's much better to create your own then bumping old ones.

    Xbox support is aware of this and is working to get it fixed as per Miss Quinzel's advice here:

    Hello RJ,

    We understand that you're experiencing an issue concerning the inability to send/accept friend requests, or send/receive game invites.

    Is this only occurring through Fortnite, or are other games experiencing this same issue?

    We recommend trying a power cycle
    of the console.

    If the problem persists, try doing a soft factory reset of the
    console    , reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

    Try this out first and let us know the results.
