    Can't Accept New Terms & Conditions on Child Account


    OK. I have signed into my son's Xbox account and get the new T&Cs message.

    I tick the Terms box and click on then the 'I Accept' button. This then takes me to a message page stating that it needs a Parental Account to log in so that the child account can accept terms. So far so good.

    I click on the 'Next' at the end of this message button and get taken to a Microsoft Login screen. I sign in with my Parental MS login, the screen thinks for a while and then just goes back to the Terms and Conditions message screen on my son's account
    again!

    No matter what I do, I can't seem to get past that message on his account. I know my MS details are correct as I can log into my account no problem.

    So what am I doing wrong???? All my son wanted me to do was see if he had a friend request!

    Any help appreciated

    Can't xbox just get rid of the terms and conditions parents have to accept? Since the parents can already restrict the child account and the parents must of agreed with the terms and conditions by allowing their child to use xbox live and buying it for them.
    It would be so much better if they allowed the owner of the account (child account) to accept the conditions, after all it's their account.

    This is so messed up, i'm gonna get a ps4 instead of xbox one

    Hello,

    Thanks for the support message.

    Just to confirm, you are attempting to login via your Xbox 360 console correct? If so, please go to
    http://account.live.com/ and sign into the parent account. Navigate to "Security & Privacy" and then "More security settings" underneath Account Security. Scroll down until you see TSV (Two-step verification)
    and make sure that is disabled on BOTH accounts.. This can cause issues when signing into an account or accepting Terms of Use.

    If it is enabled, please go ahead and disable it temporarily while you have this done, then you can re-enable TSV if you would like. Once it is disabled, try to sign in with the child account again.

    I'm experiencing the same problem.

    My daugther can't install a lot of games in his phone as the system say that she has to accet the new policy on xbox.com.

    I connect to xbox.com and the system prompt for the new policy and ask to accpet, than confirm and ask to login as parent to confirm this new contract...I Login with my userid/password and the system restart from asking again to accept the policy, thant
    to make this confirm form the paret and so on.

    I already checked both mine and my daugther configuration about the two-step authentication and in my account was disable but was enabled in her account so I disabled hear account but nothing changed Can't Accept New Terms & Conditions on Child Account :(

    Again and again a non stop loop asking to accpet the new policy, than a parent should login, and then after login again ask for the new policy.

    Any idea?

    This can also happen if you are using a child account.If this is the case you will need to have your account tied to an adult account in order to be able to accept the new terms and conditions.

    Let's start with finding the parenting email account.

    You can find this the following way:

    1. Sign in using your Xbox Live-enabled Gamertag.
    2. From the dashboard, go to settings and select Online Safety.
    3. Select an item to change and then select Save.
    4. You are then prompted for your parent’s permission to make the change. The parent Microsoft account is displayed on the password entry screen.
    Next, to recover the password for the parenting email account, please go to
