Cannto add funds to my childs account

With payment issues like these, you will need to contact our live agents as they will have visibility on your account and can locate the cause of the issue. You can request a call back or live chat on the Xbox support website. If you are facing any issues with that, please go through Microsoft support. Once you get to the virtual agent just say “Talk to an agent” and select Xbox as the product, and your issue from the list. Select the option “Call me back” or “Live chat”, which shows the estimated wait time/queue. If you don't see the options to request a call back or chat with support, change your category/topic until you do. If it does not work, please select billing & Subscriptions and "I don't recognize a charge".

In a family group, the primary account can add funds to a child account, but funds cannot be transferred between accounts otherwise.

3. Select the following drop-down menu options in the following order:
   What are you having trouble with? - XXXXXXXX
   What's the issue? -XXXXXXXXX
   
4. The third box will ask you to describe your issue. We suggest something along the lines of "Unable to redeem code due to missing digits on gift card" and then select the "Next" button.
   
5. The next window will provide you with support articles based on your request and we recommend reviewing the relevant articles before selecting the "See contact options" button.
   
6. On the final window, you will be presented with multiple options. We suggest selecting either the "Chat online" or the "Request a call" options to speak with someone. Be sure to provide as much detail as possible.

Please check payment method. Make sure that your payment method is valid and supported because certain cards or payment methods may not work for adding funds to child accounts. Kindly remove and then re-add the card to your account.

And then verify family settings. To do this, go to Microsoft Family Safety and ensure your child's account is properly set up for spending: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/user/settings/privac...

Please check if there are any restrictions that might be causing the issue.

Next is to proceed with adding funds to your child's account and see if it works this time.

Tried online chat and couldn't speak to a person so tried to phone and it cut off.
