Cannot use chat In minecraft windows 10

I was born in 1995 I saw online if you're a child it blocks the chat but I'm a full grown adult. I play with my fiance and nephew but when they type I can't see it. If I type they can't see it. Notifications like "So and so is sleeping" shows but not
chats. I have tried to find help online but their issues revolve around having a child lock setting or something. How can I view chat and communicate with them?

I am an adult, I don't own any other accounts. I"M Not making an "Adult" account when this one is!

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with changing settings on an Adult account. I recommend trying the following article:

Xbox privacy and online safety settings.

If the issue persists, try fillingout the Age verification
form. You can submit proof of age by filling out the
Age verification Request. After
submitting this form, you'll receive confirmation and follow-up emails. Instructions on how you can monitor the status of your request will be included. Please do not submit multiple requests. You can expect an email response within
3 days.

Hello Ported,

No, you do not need to be streaming in order to use party chat. You can use party chat directly from the Windows 10 app.

As regards Minecraft, unfortunately there the answer is no. You cannot at this time connect to people on Minecraft Xbox One from the Windows 10 version.

I've now uninstalled Minecraft, but now i cannot reinstall it.

Windows Store gives the message "Minecraft for Windows 10 won't run on this device."
