Cannot upload new clips since March 2017 update.

Ever since the March 2017 Xbox One update just a few days ago, I can no longer upload new clips to Youtube from the Youtube app. Any clips that existed before the update can still be uploaded.

Here is what happens specifically. I open the Youtube app, scroll to the left to the menu, scroll down to Upload. At this point, any new clips do not have thumbnails. Any clips that existed before the update, still have thumbnails. If I try to upload a clip
that was created after the update, I get: "An error has occurred while uploading the video. FILE_NOT_AVAILABLE"

This happens instantly, it does not upload a percentage of the video then fail, it only fails instantly. Again, any clips made before the update still have a thumbnail and still upload fine to Youtube.

Based on all that, I am convinced the update caused this issue. I use this feature all the time. Hoping for some answers soon.

Is there a way to reverse the update??!!

since the new update my screenshots and clips can't be uploaded to the one drive through my Xbox one , I sent the screenshots to the one drive yesterday onto my iPad and they still haven't shown up, I can only upload clips straight from the upload studio
but you can't upload screenshot through the upload studio so I can't upload them and I need to receive the screenshots quickly and it would be extremely helpful like if you could help me out

I just tried this myself and wasn't seeing the same situation. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the YouTube app and see if that helps? Are you able to upload these new clips to say OneDrive without any issues? Is it happening with all clips in all
different games, or is it a single game that you're seeing the issue in?

Hello,

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the YouTube app more than once. I have tried a full power down and unplugged my Xbox One for at least 10 minutes. I have uninstalled apps and games to clear up space. I am able to to upload to OneDrive without a
problem. I have only tried uploading clips from one game, but I will try another game and report back the results.

I am having this problem as well. I'd like a fix please!

 

I tried it with another game, same result. The video does not have a thumbnail when trying to upload in the Youtube app, and it fails instantly. Again, I'll note, videos that already existed before the update still upload just fine. Everything points to
the Update breaking something from that point forward.

So we can try to reproduce the same issue, which games are you recording where the clips are showing up like this? I myself tested with NHL 17, Stardew Valley and Minecraft and they seemed to show up fine for me in YouTube as well as after I had them uploaded
to YouTube. Also, have you tried to create and upload a clip on another account?

Most of the clips I record are from Battlefield 1. I also tried with Call of Duty: World at War and Heavy Weapon.

I have not tried to upload on another account.

 

Thanks for the info, can you try on another profile to see if it makes a difference?

I don't have another profile. I'd have to create one. Would it require Xbox Gold?

 

Thanks for the details, creating another profile shouldn't matter as long as you have the console set as home by your profile which has the Xbox Live Gold subscription.

I signed out, and back in with my same profile. This seems like it would have the same effect as trying a different profile. It did not work though. I guess what I'm saying is, I don't see how this is a problem with my profile?

 

Here is a video someone made that shows the error I am getting. I do not know this person, but they are experiencing the same kind of problem.

Let's go ahead and have you try a factory reset while keeping your Games and Apps next. The reason we wanted to check the profile is because there could be a miscommunication between your profile and the YouTube servers.

How to Factory Reset Xbox One It looks like the video creator was able to fix their problem by removing the copy of the video that was stored on Xbox Live and not the locally stored video. You might want to try that as well if the Factory Reset doesn't
work.

Make sure to select "Keep your games and apps" You will need to sign into your accounts again, but otherwise everything should be just as you left it.
